Tamarind and Shiitake Tofu with Sesame ‘Seaweed’

Hello Good people, as I mentioned my February Focus for 2012 is health and fitness.  Check out this recipe, very clear directions, fabulous photos and healthy as well, from Kellie @ Food to Glow.

Tamarind and Shiitake Tofu with Sesame ‘Seaweed’.

I believe it is time for me to try different recipes and new ingredients and this is one of the recipes on the list.  Some of the food we might not have liked as a child we find we can enjoy as an adult.  When I was younger I didn’t like Tofu or Seaweed, eggplant, artichoke and rarely ate any seafood.  When I was growing up my Mother (my beautiful Mother) rarely cooked fish for the family meal and if someone wanted fish she would discourage with lots of mother reasonings why ‘today’ would not be a good day for cooking or eating fish.  One of the food that was enjoyed as a family meal was mushrooms, usually field mushrooms, collected on a Saturday and hand picked as a family activity.  Lightly fried with a little butter! Yum! I still love mushrooms and now as an adult there is an extensive variety available at the Greengrocer.  When living a more holistic life it is important to take care with what we eat, what we put into our body and in what quantities and combinations of food types.

So thank you Kellie, I am looking forward to preparing this healthy looking dish.  Thank you!

About holistic complications

I like to work on a personal goal or challenge each year .. learning from my previous experiences, I try and face my fears, to stretch myself and step forward, to create a more holistic and authentic life, living with good intentions - a clear, honest and 'real' life! I want to be more accountable for the life I live and create! My experience of being real and authentic are quite complicated at times!! I blog to share my blunders, experiences and ideas and to gain some insight from the self reflection that the process of blogging creates for me.
