Weekly photo challenge ~ Foreign

The photo challenge this week is to post a photo representing ‘foreign’.

While we may often think of things outside our home and country as foreign, the things that are familiar and common to us can be foreign to others (as mentioned by Sara Rosso).

However, there are days when the common and ordinary seems unfamiliar and strangely different  to me.   Dove Lake is familiar and well known, yet still a little distant from my everyday life.

Lake Dove at Cradle Mountain

Some days I feel like a visitor in my country  ..  like I am intruding on something private and special and I should slip away quietly before I disturb the peace and tranquility.

I don’t quite understand the foreign yet lyrical language of the lake!

About holistic complications

I like to work on a personal goal or challenge each year .. learning from my previous experiences, I try and face my fears, to stretch myself and step forward, to create a more holistic and authentic life, living with good intentions - a clear, honest and 'real' life! I want to be more accountable for the life I live and create! My experience of being real and authentic are quite complicated at times!! I blog to share my blunders, experiences and ideas and to gain some insight from the self reflection that the process of blogging creates for me.
