Sydney in August, 2013

August is an interesting time in Australia, it is not quite Spring yet sometimes the weather can deliver one of the most wet and windy months of the year in some part of the country.  Recently I had a lovely weekend in Sydney, enjoying the city environment, catching up with family and meeting with some other colleagues.  We had arranged to meet in Sydney to discuss some plans for the coming year.  The weather was a balmy 20 degrees Celsius, with little wind at all.   Delightful!

I sat in the park to read my book (Sarah’s Last Wish) and enjoy the weather and then I wandered off for a short walk to checked in to my, conveniently located,  accommodation.

I always find it interesting and entertaining to check out the bedrooms and bathrooms whenever I travel.  Partly due to a basic natural human need to use the facilities (and have a good night’s sleep) and partly because I find them fascinating.  Often ingenious in functionality, clever in lighting and spectacular in design they both delight and inspire me.

The other thing that I have fun with when away from home is gathering  ideas on how to dress up a bedroom (or bed) to look inviting and relaxing …  and what’s not to enjoy with window shopping, especially when one can delight in luxury items without spending a cent?

About holistic complications

I like to work on a personal goal or challenge each year .. learning from my previous experiences, I try and face my fears, to stretch myself and step forward, to create a more holistic and authentic life, living with good intentions - a clear, honest and 'real' life! I want to be more accountable for the life I live and create! My experience of being real and authentic are quite complicated at times!! I blog to share my blunders, experiences and ideas and to gain some insight from the self reflection that the process of blogging creates for me.
